Our Story

It Started With Wilted Herbs…

Every week, like clockwork, I’d grab a pack of fresh herbs from the store—basil, cilantro, maybe some dill. And every week, they’d wilt in the fridge before I could use even half of them. Money wasted. Flavor lost. The promise of “fresh” felt like a lie.

So I stopped buying, and I started growing. First herbs. Then lettuce. Then tomatoes—right in my own home, year-round. And it hit me: this is how food should be. Grown with intention. Harvested when it’s actually needed. Alive, vibrant, and unapologetically fresh.

That realization sparked something bigger. I didn’t just want this for myself—I wanted to bring it to chefs who actually care about flavor. Chefs who respect ingredients. Chefs who don’t want limp greens in plastic clamshells.

That’s how LivingTray was born.

From Homegrown to Chef-Worthy

LivingTray exists to bridge the gap between what food could be and what it usually is. We grow living microgreens—trays you harvest straight onto the plate, bursting with flavor and nutrition. No middlemen. No wilting. Just real, living food.

And for home cooks and busy customers? We created LivingBlends—curated, pre-harvested mixes that are easy to use and impossible to mess up. No guesswork. No waste. Just open, eat, and enjoy.

Why We’re Different

  • We grow food that’s alive until the moment you need it.

  • We serve chefs who treat ingredients like art, not afterthoughts.

  • We build systems that reduce waste and raise the bar on freshness.

This isn’t a trend. It’s a return to what food should be.
Fresh. Honest. Alive.
From that first tray of herbs to trays delivered to serious chefs—this is more than a business. It’s a calling.
